Our goal is to develop athletes wanting a high level of skill and coaching. Committed sprinters, jumpers, throwers and hurdlers are encouraged to join, ages 12+. Cross-sport athletes are also encouraged to attend, to maintain their track and field success.
Hurdle / Jumps / Throws Practices will be Monday/Tuesday/Thursday at one of two 1.5 hour sessions at JPII HS or Rockwall HS. Pole Vault Practice will be in Rockwall. There will be an additional 5-7pm practice for Heptathletes / Decathletes. Multi-event athletes can attend any/all sessions. Competitions are typically on Saturdays.
Coaches recognize competition from USATF Members and help build an athlete's resume. We will compete in the Southwest Regional USATF Jr. Track and Field Championships with goals to qualify for Nationals. We may compete at a few local TAAF Circuit Meets and the TAAF Regional/State meet to supplement training and for non-qualifiers of USATF Jr. National Championships. This will be a competitive team-oriented program.
