Hurdle Performance Summer Track 

TEAM MEETING at the JPII High School Track

Orders will be placed on this date to ensure we have supplies, equipment, and uniforms for our season.

Ages 10 - 18, for the intermediate to advanced track athlete.

Culminating with competition at the USATF Regional Track Meet in Ft. Worth
Qualifiers will have an opportunity to compete at the USATF Jr. Olympic Nationals, in Jacksonville, FL. 
Practice Locations: JPII High School (Plano)/Rockwall High School
Times: (P) 9am to Noon, (R) 5-7pm     Cost: TBD

Fee includes: USATF / TAAF meet registration, uniform, shirt, sling and eight weeks of training with event specific coaches at top HS facilities. 
**please note we recommend you create the USATF Jr. account ($20), then provide your USATF# upon registration, so the information stays with the athlete throughout.

Hurdle Performance Group Track Club (HPG Track Club) will be a select track club program for advanced youth (MS/HS) competitors in: 100, 200, 100/110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 400/800 runners, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin throwers, and Multi-Event Athletes.
My goal is to develop athletes wanting a high level of skill and coaching. Committed sprinters, jumpers, throwers and hurdlers are encouraged to join, ages 12+. Cross-sport athletes are also encouraged to attend, to maintain their track and field success.

Hurdle / Jumps / Throws Practices will be Monday/Tuesday/Thursday at one of two 1.5 hour sessions 9am to noon at JPII HS. Pole Vault Practice will be in Rockwall at the same time. There will be an additional 5-7pm practice for Heptathletes / Decathletes. Multi-event athletes can attend any/all sessions. Competitions are typically on Saturdays. Previous year's cost $400-470 (included uniform, meets, training, and year-round consultation)
Coaches recognize competition from USATF Members and help build an athlete's resume. We will compete in the Southwest Regional USATF Jr. Track and Field Championships with goals to qualify for Nationals.  We may compete at a few local TAAF Circuit Meets and the TAAF Regional/State meet to supplement training and for non-qualifiers of USATF Jr. National Championships.  This will be a competitive team-oriented program. HPG Summer Track fee includes: USATF / TAAF registration, entry fees, uniform, shirt, 6 weeks of training and facilities.

All-Sport Summer Speed Camp 

Youth athletes, from any sport, 12yr and older, will benefit from this speed camp.  
​Four two-hour training sessions, located at the John Paul II HS Athletic Stadium, hosted by JP2TF Head Coach Jeff Jackson and affiliates.  


Advanced Speed Development (Acceleration and Speed)
Athletes, 12yrs and older, attending this week long camp should have competed in sports previously. Coach will continue to develop skills on proper sprints and sprinting techniques.  The athlete will compete in advanced drills, combination exercises and short races (40yd dash).  Some body-weight strength training along with plyometric exercises will be performed. We will emphasize specific drills and habits that the athlete can take with them to incorporate into their future training/sport.
