Week 1: June 4 -7th, Fundamentals of Sprinting and Hurdling
Students/athletes will learn proper warm-up, stretching, and dynamic drills. for pre-workout/competition. Coach will drill proper techniques for sprinting and/or hurdling. We will develop skills and routines that the student can practice and use to further develop their strength and mobility.
Week 2: June 11-14th, Advanced Speed Development (Acceleration and Speed)
Athletes, 12yrs and older, attending this week should have competed in sports previously. Coach will continue to develop skills on proper sprints and sprinting techniques. The athlete will compete in advanced drills, combination exercises and short races. Some body-weight strength training along with plyometric exercises will be performed. We will emphasize specific drills and habits that the athlete can take with them to incorporate into their future training.
